Different soy candles scented with lavender and peppermint essential oils.
Just a quick blog post as it’s quite late. Been a busy time with making, crafting and Christmas shopping. I’ve made some more lavender votive soy candles like I had at the last craft fair I was at. This time though I’ve made the coloured wax chunks a lighter purple to fit better with the lavender scent. The previous batch were a bit too red for me.
You may recall I showed a wool wrapped candle holder here a while ago. I’ve been looking at it and thinking instead of just leaving it as a candle holder, why not make a candle inside it too. Since the wool has some green in it, I made the candle scented with peppermint and rosemary essential oils. Peppermint just seemed the right choice to go with the wool colour.

Check out the Handmade Monday, Inspire Me Monday and Inspire Me Friday blog parties this week. I’ll be doing that tomorrow once I’ve had a good nights sleep

What great candles! I agree, peppermint is a great choice for the wool wrapped holder. The wool seems to make the candle feel all warm and cozy! The lavender ones are just perfect to help you relax after a manic day at this time of year. Have a good week.
Great idea to make a candle for the holder and the perfect choice of scents for the pretty wool you’ve used! x
These are fabulous I’d buy them! The wool wrapped candle would make a lovely gift for a crafter. Have a good week-end, Jo x
